This website provides information about the invasive green alga, Codium fragile subsp. tomentosoides (hereafter Codium). Our laboratory at the University of New Hampshire is tracking the invasive history of this plant, as well as gathering information about new occurances of Codium. Our overall goal is to provide information about what this species is, where it came from, where it currently is in the Gulf of Maine, and the problems it causes. Also, if you have seen this seaweed in a location not listed, please contact us with details!
